KaBOOM! inspires communities to make play the easy choice and works to drive the national discussion about the importance of PLAYces. KaBOOM! has collaborated with partners to build or restore more than 17,000 playspaces, engaged more than 1.5 million volunteers and served over 9 million kids.

TITLE: Office of the CEO Intern

DEPARTMENT: Office of the CEO



LOCATION: Washington, DC

STIPEND: $500 total



KaBOOM! is looking for a college student, recent college graduate or graduate student to join our dynamic Office of the CEO. The Office of the CEO is responsible for supporting the CEO and Senior Team on a variety of efforts that are critical to the execution of our strategy and advancing our mission.


  • Support the preparation for and follow-up from a Board of Directors meeting
  • Conduct research and analysis on special projects/initiatives
  • Assist in large-scale, fast-moving projects
  • Support the coordination of cross-team execution of strategies
  • Organize files, gather data and assist in data entry
  • Identify inefficiencies in organizational processes
  • Prepare internal and external presentations and research briefs



  • A matriculating college student who has earned enough credits for a sophomore status, or a student who has graduated from college within the preceding six months
  • Area of academic study relates to the intern opening (Non-profit Management and/or Business Administration) strongly preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in Washington, D.C. KaBOOM! office
  • Ability to work between 30-40 hours per week
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 weeks May through August 2018
  • Ability to secure their own lodging/housing
  • Adhere to all KaBOOM! employment policies
